The Bank attaches importance to providing equal opportunities to all its employees and candidates. In line with this approach, it aims to establish an inclusive, fair and respectful working environment.
The understanding of equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion forms the foundation of the Bank's human management practices. Within the scope of the Human Resources and Human Rights Policy, all candidates and employees are evaluated fairly and without prejudice based on their professional competencies and qualifications, without discrimination based on language, religion, race, sect, origin, gender, personal preferences or physical disability. Ziraat Katilim considers diversity as an important value that contributes to individual, team and institutional success and adopts this understanding across all business processes. The Bank takes all necessary measures to prevent any behavior that may lead to discrimination or ill-treatment.
Responsibility for Ethical and Decent Conduct
Through the Code of Ethics Agreement, Ziraat Katilim defines the principles and working standards that employees must comply with while performing their duties and provides the necessary information to employees regarding these principles. The purpose of the Code of Ethics Agreement is to prevent any disputes and conflicts of interest that may arise among employees, customers and the institution.
These processes constitute the fundamental elements that strengthen the Bank's transparent, responsible and ethical business structure.
Within the scope of the Code of Ethics Agreement, employees of the Bank are obliged to:
- Act with dignity, honor and honesty in all business relationships,
- Avoid any personal behavior and attitudes that may damage the reputation of the Bank,
- Thoroughly know and comply with the laws, statutes and regulations related to their duties,
- Not disclose non-public information to third parties under any circumstances,
- Follow the orders, procedures and instructions related to working conditions and discipline and act accordingly,
- Report rule violations to their manager or the Human Resources Department before taking personal action,
- Avoid expressions that may imply ethnic, political or religious discrimination in the workplace,
- Comply with a modest and elegant dress code consistent with the seriousness of the institution,
- Act in accordance with gender equality, general morality and socially accepted moral values.
Attitudes and behaviors that are contrary to ethical principles and rules are evaluated within the scope of the Disciplinary Regulation. In situations not explicitly covered by these rules, employees are expected to act in accordance with common sense and good faith principles. Compliance with ethical principles by employees is monitored primarily by Department and Branch Managers, as well as by the Head of Audit Board and the Head of Internal Control Department.
Ethics Line
Ziraat Katilim operates an Ethics Line in order to enable employees to safely and transparently report practices that are contrary to legislation, ethical violations or errors in activities. The Ethics Line, accessible through the Bank's intranet, is managed by the Audit Board.
Through the Ethics Line accessed via the Bank portal, employees report errors related to Bank activities, violations of legislation or potential ethical breaches. The notifications received are evaluated by the Audit Board in full confidentiality and the necessary actions are taken.
Information related to the reporting individuals is not shared with managers or colleagues under any circumstances. In addition to submitting notifications through the portal, employees may also directly communicate with members of the Audit Board. In order to prevent violations, disciplinary provisions set out in the Bank's Implementation Principles and Procedures (UEU) document are applied.
Ethics Training
Training and awareness activities on ethics and compliance are conducted through the Ziraat Katilim Academy e-learning platform. The trainings titled Ethical Principles and Working Principles and Ethics and Responsibility in Business Life are open to all employees and are monitored regularly. Through these trainings, it is aimed to increase employees' awareness regarding ethical rules, corporate responsibilities and working principles.
Classroom trainings titled 'Human Resources and Ethical Principles' are organized for newly recruited employees. Within this scope, comprehensive information is provided regarding corporate values, working principles and ethical responsibilities. Through these trainings, it is aimed to support employees' adaptation to the corporate culture and increase their awareness of ethical principles.
Within the scope of training and awareness activities carried out under the ethics and compliance heading, employees are regularly informed about the following topics:

- Anti-bribery and anti-corruption
- Acceptance and giving of gifts
- Relations with customers and prioritization of customer interests

- Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing

Increasing Employment of Persons with Disabilities
Ziraat Katilim considers the participation of persons with disabilities in working life important in terms of supporting equal opportunity and diversity. The Bank addresses the employment of people with disabilities within the framework of legislation and organizes recruitment and working conditions accordingly. Through practices that support the adaptation of employees with disabilities to the institution, it aims to prevent discrimination and strengthen an inclusive working environment.
